No. CustomGPT.ai is completely independent of Microsoft 365 Copilot. You connect OneDrive as a data source and CustomGPT.ai builds your AI agent separately. No Copilot subscription, no Azure OpenAI setup, and no additional Microsoft licensing is required.
The OneDrive connector is available on all CustomGPT.ai plans. Auto-sync – which automatically picks up file changes on a schedule – is available on Enterprise plans only. On all other plans, you can manually re-sync your OneDrive content at any time.
Individual files up to 450MB are supported. Files larger than 450MB will not be processed. If you have large files, split them into smaller documents before connecting for best results.
Yes. During setup you select exactly which folders and files to include. CustomGPT.ai only accesses what you explicitly choose – nothing outside your selection is ever read or processed.
Yes. You can connect folders from your personal OneDrive and shared folders your account has access to, including files shared through Microsoft Teams. Select which folders to include during setup. If you need SharePoint site libraries connected as well, CustomGPT.ai supports that as a separate integration.
Microsoft Copilot is built into the Microsoft 365 suite and requires a Copilot license. CustomGPT.ai is a standalone AI agent platform that you can deploy on your own website, app, or internal tools – independent of Microsoft’s ecosystem. You get a customisable chatbot your customers and team can use anywhere, not just inside OneDrive or Teams.
Deleted or moved files are removed from the chatbot’s knowledge on the next sync. The agent will no longer reference or cite content from files you have deleted. On Enterprise plans, sync runs automatically on your chosen schedule. Other plans support manual re-sync on demand.
