How do I capture leads with a CustomGPT.ai agent?
Turn on Lead Capture, an agent action that asks for and records lead details during normal conversation, so visitors don’t have to fill in a form. You choose which fields to collect, such as name, email, company, job title or region, and can add custom fields. Leads are saved securely in the CustomGPT.ai dashboard, where they can be exported. See the Lead Capture agent.
Can captured leads go straight to my CRM?
Yes. Leads can be exported as a CSV file at any time, or sent automatically through Zapier’s New Lead trigger to tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Sheets, Mailchimp or Slack. Each time the agent captures new details, Zapier receives an update.
Can I see which campaign a lead came from?
Yes. Turn on UTM tag collection in Lead Capture and the agent records campaign and referral tags from the visitor’s URL, such as utm_source, utm_campaign, gclid and referrer, alongside each lead. The tags are included in CSV exports and Zapier. Only those listed tags are collected, and only when the option is on.
When does the agent ask for contact details?
That depends on how you set it up. On its own, Lead Capture asks for details like name, email and company in the first few messages, then keeps listening for new details later in the chat.
