This is great, but what about web site indexing? When can we expect our sitemap to be crawled on a recurring basis to find new topics to add to our content, rather than having to delete and re-create the same sitemap repeatedly?

Many companies update their analytics daily.
Google updates theirs hourly.
Does this feature accommodate that, or is that part of sitemap refresh?
Good question Steve — though this is not analytics — this is about indexing the data. This post is about how quickly the data can be indexed (so that it can be acted upon and queried).
Talking about Google, Google does have the concept of “credits” and it sometimes take weeks to index your data. You could post a blog post on your website and it could be weeks before Google indexes it. (so comparing to Google Analytics is not a correct comparison — apples and oranges)
