What does the LinkedIn connector do?
It adds LinkedIn posts to a CustomGPT.ai agent. Paste a personal profile or company page URL, and every public post on it becomes something your agent can answer from, with a link back to the original post.
Whose LinkedIn can I add?
Any public profile or company page. A good place to start is your own, the founder’s profile, the company page, or both, so the agent speaks from what you’ve already published.
Does it work if my LinkedIn profile is private?
No. It only reads public posts, so a private profile, or one with no public posts, won’t return anything to add.
Do I need to log in to LinkedIn or set up an API key?
No. Paste the URL and you’re done. Your posts are added in the background, so you can continue using your agent while your LinkedIn content is imported.
What exactly does my agent learn from my posts?
Every public post on the profile or company page becomes something your agent can answer from. If you reposted something and added your own comment, that counts too.
Does it include LinkedIn articles or newsletters?
Posts only. LinkedIn articles and newsletters are not part of the LinkedIn source today.
How does my agent stay current as I keep posting?
You don’t have to remember to update it yourself. Turn on Auto Sync, and CustomGPT.ai checks LinkedIn for you on the schedule you pick, daily, weekly, monthly, or custom, adding new posts and removing deleted ones automatically.
Is there a limit on how many posts I can add?
It depends on your plan. Each post counts as one page toward your agent’s page allowance, 5,000 on Standard, 20,000 on Premium, and a custom allowance on Enterprise. A profile with a few hundred posts fits comfortably on any plan.
What if I edit a post on LinkedIn?
Auto Sync picks up new and deleted posts. An edit to a post that’s already been added is not read again on a scheduled run, your agent keeps the version it first read.
Can I combine LinkedIn with my other sources?
Yes. You can join your website, help center, documents, and YouTube channel as one more thing your agent can draw from, and you’re not limited to one LinkedIn source either, a company page plus two founder profiles on the same agent works fine.
Which plans include LinkedIn?
LinkedIn integration is available on all plans. The LinkedIn source and scheduled Auto Sync are on Standard, Premium, and Enterprise. Running a sync right away, without waiting for the schedule, is an Enterprise feature.
Isn’t this something I could just do by pasting posts into ChatGPT or Claude myself?
You could paste a handful of posts into a chat window once. Does adding my LinkedIn change anything on LinkedIn?
No. The connector only reads public posts. It never posts, follows, or changes anything on your behalf.
Will my agent answer from the web too, or only from my LinkedIn?
